Bronte Creek
Schnurricane Classic
The Schnurricane Classic is named for the Burlington raised runner and coach, Paula Schnurr. Among many of her achievements, Schnurr is known for competing in the 1500m at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, as well as winning a silver medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in the 1500m. Schnurr has also been the longtime coach of the McMaster University Cross Country and Track teams, winning provincial and national championships along the way. The name comes from the nickname that her athletes have given her for her sometimes feisty personality.
Location
The course is located at 1219 Burloak Drive, Parking Lot A, and will later serve as the course for the GHAC championships.
